Rachel is an outgoing individual with a kind and gentle demeanor. She is extremely patient with learners of differing abilities and has years of experience encouraging students to feel comfortable making active attempts to learn. Prior to teaching, she worked in healthcare and was a surgical assistant in operating rooms in the USA. Rachel has been traveling and living abroad for the past several years and has visited more than 40 countries across Asia, Europe, and South America! She has lived in Thailand and Japan for more than a year each, teaching English. During her travels, she has seen that having the ability to speak English is like a key that opens many doors. She would love to chat with you and help you gain confidence with your English! Rachel is an avid food lover and especially appreciates the complex flavors of cheese. She also enjoys hiking, photography, reading, badminton, roller skating, snowboarding, traveling, and meeting new people. Rachel loves animals and has owned various pets, including rabbits, hamsters, dogs, cats, fish, pigs, ducks, chickens, and a flying squirrel!
